SN College, Chempazhanthy, has a full fledged, fully automated well equipped general library with more than 40000 books including reference books, Thesis collection, rare books etc. The Library is fully automated including automated gate register using KOHA library Management software. Library has a reading area, Reference section and stack room. Library remains open from 9. 30 AM to 4.30 PM on all working days.The library has a large collections of books, national-international journals, magazines, and periodicals, PhD Thesis etc. Library is well equipped with online database like, NLIST-INFLIBNET also have a good digital repository system build in D-Space software.

Library Rules

• Silence shall be strictly observed in the library.
• Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside the library.
• Students must produce their identity cards to enter the library
• Issued books shall be returned within a fortnight and they can be re issued for another term. The book shall be recalled at any time even before the expiry date.
• Periodicals and books in the Reference section will not be lent out. They may be referred inside the library, by submitting the identity card.
• A student at the degree level will be issued 3 books and 5 books at the P.G level
• A member can avail books from the library by producing his/her identity card at the issue counter for proper verification.
• Reader’s printed papers and books are not allowed inside the library hall for any reason.
• Borrowers will be held responsible for any damage caused to the book. When a book is issued to a member, it is presumed that it is in good condition, unless and otherwise pointed out.
• Students are not allowed to sub-lend the book.
• Do not make any marking or underline in the books and periodicals or disfigure them in any other way
• If a book is damaged or lost by a member, he/she will have to replace it with fine. Defaulter shall pay fine as per order.
• A member who fails to return a book on due date will be fined Rs.1 per day until the book is returned.
• All books must be returned to the library at the time of sending certificates for the examinations.
• Before applying for any certificate from the college, members have to get clearance certificate from the library
• Students are liable to forfeit their membership of the library for violating the library rules, indiscipline or misbehavior.
