Achievements during 2015-16

As part of the syllabus, Malayalam Cinema, ‘”Vaishali” was shown on 18-11 2015 in the Seminar Hall.
In association with  PN Panicker  Reading Day (Vayanadinam ),  an Interdepartmental  Quiz  Competition was conducted  by Malayalam Department on June 19th  2015.

Seminar on Creativity organised by Department of Malayalam at SN College,Chempazhanthy on 24- 11-2015.
Attended a seminar on ‘KavithayumSangeethavum’ organised by KSCSTE &,PTA at SN College,Chempazhanthy on 11-3-2015
Attended a workshop on Research methodology in Social Sciences organised by Dept. of Political Science & Kerala State Higher Education Council TVPM on 5th&6th  August 2015.
Attended and presented a paper on Workshop on’Kaliyarangu’  sponsord by the UGC and organized by the Dept. of Malayalam Sree Narayana College, Chathannoor on November 12th & 13th, 2015.
Attended  National Multi – Disciplinary Annual Research Conference  (MARC) organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell & various Schools of the University of Kerala on  15 December 2015 in the Kerala University Senate Hall.

Achievements during 2014-15

The Department of Malayalam organized a One day Regional Seminar on the topic Muthalalitha Samskaravum kshobikhathavarude Sargathmakathayum  on 24.11.2014 in association with the department of Hindi. The resource person was Prof M. Chandrababu, former HOD of Malayalam, SN College Chempazhanthy.
The department commemorated National Unity day on 31st October 2014, by making a solemn pledge on Rastriya Ekta.
A Debate competition on ‘Deshiyathayum Sardar Vallabhai Patelum’ was conducted on 31st Oct 2014 to mark the occasion of  Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary.
The department organised debate competitions as part of the activities of debate club on the following topics-Reading Habit, National Games - Merits & demerits.

Degree awarded
Was awarded Ph.D in May 2013 for her thesis titled, ‘Sociological Criticism in Malayalam – A Study Based on Joseph Mundassery, Kuttippuzha Krishna Pillai & Thayattu Sankaran’.
