Laureates and Legacies - Nobel Week Celebration
Sree Narayana College, ChempazhanthyThe Department of English organised an event titled Laureates and Legacies as part of the Nobel Week Celebration on 29 October 2025 at 11 am in the College Seminar Hall.
The programme commenced with a prayer by Adithya S.B, II BA English followed by the Welcome Speech by Janaki of I MA English. The Presidential Address was delivered by the College Principal Prof. (Dr). Raakhee A.S. The session was inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.)Manu Remakant, Head of the Department of English. Felicitations were offered by Ms. Lilin V. Bhaskaran, Head of the Department of Malayalam and Dr. Sreechithra V.S., Head of the Department of Hindi. Maanasi Binoj, I MA English, compered the session.
As part of the session, there were few presentations by the Faculty members and students of the Department of English. Ms.Vani Girish, the Co-ordinator of the event, Ms. Amaya S Kumar, Joint Co-ordinator, along with Aditya and Shilpa from III BA English, Divya from I MA English and Niyas from II MA English presented their papers.
The programme was well attended by the Students and Faculty members of the Department of English.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Sabnja of III BA English.

The PG Department of English was honoured to have Dr. Rakesh R, Assistant professor of English, Mar Ivanios College, as our guest speaker at our annual Multidisciplinary Seminar Series, an event focused on our motto ‘Enlightenment through Education”. The event took place on 10 January 2024. His expertise and experience in the academia was an excellent opportunity for our students and the students were exposed to a multitude of contemporary perspectives of cultural studies scenarios
